If it is a one battery appliance, under no circumstances can be common with the 14500 lithium battery.
If it is a two-battery appliance, in the case of pairing with a placeholder barrel (dummy battery), a 3.2V 14500 lithium iron phosphate battery can be completely universal. And 3.7V of 14500 lithium iron phosphate batteries may be universal, but the match is not optimal.
Because 14500 lithium battery voltage is 3.7V, ordinary AA is 1.5V, the voltage is different. Change the lithium battery, the appliances may be burned to trigger the danger.
